BOOKING

•Scroll to the bottom of the page to check out our packages and to see more information about each type of party. Once you have decided which one your child would like, continue to fill out the party request form. We will get back to you within 24-48 hours! A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to save a party date.

• We book parties about 3 months in advance. We usually are book about 3-4 weeks out, but it doesn’t hurt to ask if there are openings if you are hoping for one sooner than that!

• Parties usually happen on Fridays at 5 PM, Saturdays at 10 AM or 1:30 PM and on Sundays at 10 AM. If you are hoping for a time outside of these, please get in touch, as we may be able to accommodate. We do not take Sunday afternoon parties.

GUEST COUNT

Unfortunately, our building square footage is not limitless (735 sq ft. …that includes our storage space and bathroom!) and we cannot offer large parties. Our parties are best for those who are okay with smaller parties with just a few friends.

Parties with most guests under 5: 10 children MAX. Children attending may only bring 1 adult per child (birthday child may of course have both parents there!). This is because we have several stations set up…on the floor, with smaller tables set up, etc. The less bodies in the room, the less overwhelming the experience will be for everyone.

Parties with most guests over 6: 10 children are included, with the option to add 2 more (for a total of 12). Please consider asking guest’s parents to drop off their child, and wander the farmer’s market or downtown while the party is going on. 1 adult per child may attend, however the experience will be more comfortable with less bodies in the room. The children will be our priority, so please keep adult conversations down so all children can hear instructions. There is also not a ton of extra seating, so adults may have to stand.

FOOD & DECOR

•You may arrive up to 20 minutes early to set up any decorations (you may not need that much time, but you are welcome to come that early if you want!). We will have a table for you to set food on, tacks and tape for hanging things, and a bluetooth speaker if you have a playlist. Any decorations left at the end of the party will be thrown away.

•You can definitely bring any food and drinks! However, we might recommend keeping the snack spread simple. No need for a fancy snack spread, unless that is something you want to do. Please keep any food and snacks NUT FREE. Cupcakes are usually a lot easier to pass out than cutting a cake, but we won’t stop you from bringing a pretty cake! We save the last 20-30 minutes for cake and presents. We do not have a refrigerator, so please, no ice cream.

PARTY FLOW

•The first hour of the party is dedicated to our art making! We like to have a birthday mural or giant color page for kids to color as they wait for guests to arrive. About 5-10 minutes after the party start time, the host will start the project with the guests. After about an hour of creation time, we turn the party over to you, to do cake/snacks and present time (if you wish), or just hang out! If you would like to forgo your cake and present time for more art making, please let me know ahead of time. Forgoing the cake and present time does not include an extra project, so if you would like to add another project, please let me know so we can discuss options for an additional fee.

•Our parties are 1.5 hours by default. You are welcome to request an additional 30 minutes for a $50 fee. Older children (8+) who have longer attention spans, and parties with higher guest counts would probably benefit from the additional time. We would probably not recommend additional time for parties where most guests are under the age of 5. This fee does not include additional projects.

FEE FOR STAYING LATE

Once the party is over, you will have about 10-15 minutes to clean up. Don’t worry about cleaning up any art mess, we will take care of that!

Please know that we often have other parties back to back, and our hosts have other jobs to get to, or babysitters to relieve. If you are not making a clear effort to end the party and clean up, there is a $50 fee for staying past your designated party time. If you or your guests are late due to parking at the farmers market, I’m sorry but we cannot let your party go longer due to the farmers market parking, so please plan accordingly.

FARMERS MARKET

•The Vancouver Farmers Market happens RIGHT outside our window during certain times of the year. Please see below for how it may affect parking for your party. The pink lines on the map are where I am usually successful finding parking when coming to the studio on a market day.

-If your party is on a Saturday or Sunday between APRIL - OCTOBER, please plan to park farther away. Bring a wagon if you have one, as this is helpful to bring any food or decorations in, as well as presents out.

-If your party is on a Saturday between NOVEMBER - MARCH, parking will not be available right in front of the studio, but will be easier to manage than the warmer months. If your party is on a Sunday in these months, there will be no farmer’s market to affect your parking, and you should be able to park right in front of the studio, or in a very near by parking spot. There is no real need to come earlier for parking on Sundays in winter, as there is plenty of available street parking around the studio.
